Bar area with custom metal built in bar shelves

Charles wanted NYC-inspired elegance.

Drawing upon the brick-and-mortar panorama of the West Village, this space transforms all things solid into light and air. We selected a palette of creamy neutral tones, punctuated here and there with patterns in an array of soft fabrics, at once unexpected and yet seamless in this contemporary urban loft. A custom floating marble fireplace adds understated elegance to an open living area, nested off with a wraparound bar. Dreamy bedroom designs blend romance with robust lines, as if art deco had been whispered in hushed tones.

The floating fireplace was cut from Italian marble weighing more than 1,000 pounds and required seven people to mount.
