Hudson Valley Farmhouse Revival

A Farmhouse Restored with Modern Restraint and Timeless Craft

HGTV featured Stefania Skrabak’s Catskills farmhouse, celebrating her transformation of a historic property into a soulful countryside escape. Among thousands of entries, the project was honored in HGTV’s Faces of Design Awards, recognized for its layered textures, natural materials, and ability to merge rustic heritage with modern livability.

The dining and kitchen spaces flow seamlessly, anchored by exposed beams and softened with natural light. A restrained palette of wood, white, and brass creates warmth and balance, while layered details add soul to the modern farmhouse design.

Where heritage beams meet modern soul.

Design that feels soulful, lived-in, and timeless.

The bedrooms are designed as intimate retreats — layered with natural textures, muted tones, and thoughtful details that bring a sense of serenity. Each space reflects a balance of comfort and restraint, crafted to feel timeless and deeply personal.

From the layered calm of the interiors, the home extends outward onto a sunlit deck — a gathering space HGTV called ‘idyllic,’ surrounded by rolling farmland and the rhythm of animals grazing nearby. The seamless flow between inside and out reinforces the home’s spirit: soulful, serene, and deeply connected to its natural setting.

Rooted along the river, the house lives in rhythm with the land.
